Publication Ethics

AL-WASAṬIYYAH adheres to high ethical standards in publication and expects the same from its authors. Breaches of publication ethics such as plagiarism, fraudulent use of data, and duplicity in submissions will lead to the rejection of manuscripts and possibly further action. Authors are expected to be transparent about their research processes and to adhere to ethical guidelines for the treatment of human subjects and animals, if applicable.

We expect authors, reviewers, and editors to adhere to the following principles and policies:

  1. Ethical Standards

AL-WASAṬIYYAH maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward unethical publishing practices such as plagiarism, fabrication or falsification of data, and duplicate submissions. Breaches of publication ethics will result in the rejection of manuscripts and may lead to further disciplinary action.

Authors must:

  • Submit only original work, properly citing all references.
  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Obtain appropriate ethical approvals for research involving human or animal subjects and provide evidence of informed consent where required.
  • Be transparent about their research methods, data, and findings.
  1. Editorial and Publishing Policies

Submission Policies

  • Manuscripts submitted to AL-WASAṬIYYAH must not have been previously published or be under consideration elsewhere.
  • Submissions should not be part of any previously published research or a university thesis.
  • Authors must sign a pledge form confirming the manuscript's originality and exclusive submission.
  • Once published in AL-WASAṬIYYAH, authors are not permitted to republish the article in another journal.

Plagiarism and Fabrication

  • The journal uses Turnitin plagiarism detection software before initiating the peer review process.
  • If a manuscript contains minor or major plagiarism, the editorial board reserves the right to reject the submission outright.
  • Fabrication or manipulation of data is strictly prohibited.

Peer Review

  • All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure objectivity and scholarly quality.
  • Reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality and provide constructive, unbiased feedback.
  1. Copyright and Ownership
  • All copyrights for articles published in AL-WASAṬIYYAH are retained by the journal.
  • Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for accurate citation and long-term access.
  • The opinions expressed in published articles are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of AL-WASAṬIYYAH or its editorial board.
